Your Story. Shot Naturally.
A Note From Fraser
Welcome to weddings by F.D.Young Photography, I’m Fraser. I believe in a natural and candid approach to wedding photography, with a style that is both modern yet timeless.
For me, the most important aspect for a couple is that you find the right wedding photographer. Someone who you love working with, where it doesn’t feel forced or awkward! You want a photographer with a style and manner that matches who you are as a couple. I always know I’ve done my best work when a couple is able to think of me as just another wedding guest on the day and feel completely at ease when I’m around.
Please always feel free to drop me an informal email if you have any questions, or want to say hi. I’m always happy to talk over the phone, email, or (best of all) meet for a coffee and a chat.
‘We honestly couldn’t be happier with our photos, it captures us all in our natural element and they are the most beautiful reminder of our special day.’MEGAN MCCLYMONT – BRIDE
Your Story is My Style
I am a storyteller by nature, it’s what I’ve done in some form or another my whole life. (I’ve worked with companies including H.B.O, The BBC, Channel 4, Netflix, Channel 5 and more.) Photographing weddings is the purest form of storytelling. That is why I am totally in love with wedding photography, I genuinely think I have the best job in the world, I get to capture the happiest moment of two people’s lives… what better or more meaningful story can there be than that? It’s the chance to capture the story of your love; your amazing day, all of the joy it brings to you, your friends, and your family.
It’s this belief that drives my style. I want to capture your story in the purest, most natural and true to life way possible. That means I don’t try to overly pose you or your guests, or try and run the day. For me, the best and most memorable images are almost always taken when people are comfortable with my presence and are able to completely forget that I, or the camera, are present. It is why I also like to keep the group photos and couple’s portraits (should you choose to have these) to around half an hour. Meaning you can focus on what matters most… enjoying your wedding day. After all, it is your family, friends, and happiness that matter most. If you chose F.D.Young Photography, you can be confident in the knowledge that what matters most is captured perfectly.
I do this because I love it, and I would love to be a part of your story.
‘We were able to meet Fraser a couple of times before the wedding and he was so calm, collected and personable we found ourselves totally at ease with him.’SHONA NELSON – MOTHER OF THE BRIDE
